The Division of Water Supply is charged with the responsibility of the operation, construction and maintenance of the Newark Water Supply System, which includes the watershed, reservoirs, water treatment plant, aqueducts, pumping stations, distribution mains, hydrants, valves and other structures and facilities providing water for Newark’s needs and those of others dependent on Newark for water supply.
